Beautiful weather at Red Butte where Shelly and I had gone up specifically to photograph hummingbirds. There were plenty of hummers, but the lighting/positioning opportunities did not result in any great shots. The birds were either too far away, not facing the camera, or back-lit. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. We heard our FOY Catbird and saw, briefly, a male Bullock's Oriole. Impossible to see were a nest "full" of Magpies in the tree near the entrance. We could hear the fledglings and saw a parent go into the nesting site, but the branches provided a great deal of cover and completely concealed the nest.
