Lesser Goldfinch

Gone is the large covey of California Quail which occasionally visited the feeder this winter. Saw a single pair of Quail near the main feeding station. Lesser Goldfinch are asserting territorial rights and we just might have a nesting pair for the second year in a row. Juncos will likely move on in the coming weeks, but all and all, it appears that spring is just around the corner.
