Nothing to Grouse About

Young Grouse, much smaller than parent,

Flush a covey of five Grouse today while hiking up to Lake Blanche. Unlike previous experiences at Lamb's Canyon, I got a few snaps of them. I think the female was waiting for her chicks to walk away to safety. Eventually I moved and she flew off into a tree.
