Cokeville via Teton then Home

Chipping Sparrow in GTNP

Young Western Scrub-jay

American Robin
Visited family in Grand Teton where I had very little time to bird. We did however, return via Evanston which meant we passed by Cokeville Meadows. Saw a few birds from the car, most significantly, an assortment of Terns hawing through the fields which line the Bear River. But the highlight was a pair of Peregrine Falcons on the wing sighted just before the town. Lesser Goldfinch are still hanging around the yard, and to my surprise, a young Western Scrub-jay. I guess the parents were hanging around as much because they were busy taking care of the young.
