No Wood Duck, but a Duckling Explosion

Park Ducks Galore

Didn't find the male Wood Duck Shelly and I saw during our walk last evening, but the light of a new day revealed dozens of young "park" ducks in or near the pond. I wonder if this year's mild weather has contributed to the huge numbers? Also saw at least four Spotted Sandpiper and a nesting Killdeer. I'll go back to the park in the coming days to see if I can relocate the Wood Duck.
